Manager Operating Costs - TLC (Control)




Role purpose

This Role is part of Colt FP&A – Operating Cost TLC (Colt Europe excluding India) Control team and Candidate is responsible for handling multiple countries, close payroll books on monthly basis, do variance analysis, produce management reports, rate card, cash flow forecasting. The total value of spend for operating costs is in excess of €300m/pa.


Key accountabilities

  • Financial Accounting, Analysis, Reporting operating Cost TLC.
  • Finalisation of P&L, B/S (Revenue/Cost/Interco/Bank Recon etc), Variance analysis and commentaries
  • Review of Manual Journal postings (Accruals / Provisions/Prepayment / Reclasses etc.)
  • Review of key financial numbers (Accruals, Provisions, Liabilities etc)
  • Preparation / Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • TLR Reporting post reconciliation with Head Count Pivot
  • Holiday Pay Provision, LTIP (Colt Total) , AIP (colt Total) computation , accounting and reporting
  • Month End Reporting and Analytical Reviews of Financial Statements
  • Monthly Rate card Publishing
  • Monthly Cash Flow Forecasting and variance analysis
  • Managing Internal / Statutory Audits
  • Ensure completion of financial transaction processing as per close calendar
  • Undertakes ad-hoc analytical and reporting assignments at the request of stakeholders
  • Ensures accurate accounting for Non-standard items in compliance with group policies.
  • Carry-out monthly/quarterly/annual close activities
  • Identify process improvement opportunities




Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience


  • Must be able to work with a high level of accuracy and pride in achievements
  • Effective communication, presentation and management reporting skills
  • Familiarity with forecasting tools, systems, methods and data analysis is preferable.
  • Innovative, always ready to take up new responsibilities and develop new ways of working
  • A good team player always available for supporting other team members across all COLT Core business
  • Good hands on MS Excel & Reporting software – SAP & BPC
  • Strong analytical / problem solving skills


  • Minimum 2-3 year Accounting/reporting/FP&A experience is preferable
