Job Description

As a member of the Fund Administration Regulatory Reporting team, incumbent will be responsible for the implementation and execution of certain SEC Financial Reporting Modernization requirements. As part of these new requirements, incumbent would be responsible for timely and accurate preparation and/or review of forms like N-Port and N-CEN on monthly/periodic basis.

Responsibilities

Prepare & Review monthly Form N-PORT for all assigned mutual funds.
Review financial information for accuracy and analyze various financial relationships. Complete all validations and reconciliations. Assist with issue resolution.
Create and enhance department procedures for SEC Financial Reporting Modernization requirements. Continuously identify and mitigate risks and improve efficiencies of work flow streams.
Initiate appropriate communications for any process changes, tips, or status updates. Assist with system enhancements as necessary for SEC Financial Reporting Modernization requirements.
Prepare/review additional reports that are filed with regulatory agencies including the SEC, such as Forms N-CSR, N-CEN, N-MFP, CPO-PQR, etc. Prepare/review various internal reports and information summaries, Prepare/review annual, semiannual, and quarterly financial reports for the Columbia Mutual Funds and Life and Annuity Products. Complete special projects and participate in department initiatives.
Continuously identify and mitigate risks and improve efficiencies of work flow streams. Identify complex fund issues and manage the delivery of services to managers. Actively participate across geographical locations and respond to internal inquiries.
Identify business requirements for potential system enhancements and/or development of procedural changes to accommodate any financial reporting impacts brought on by regulatory or business initiatives.

Required Qualifications

MBA or B.Com with 1 – 2 years of post-qualification experience. Additional qualifications will be a plus.
Strong understanding of and work experience in mutual fund investment accounting/fund accounting process.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with InvestOne accounting system and FundSuite Arc/Financial Reporting software.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal Skills, and an effective team player.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong work ethic with high standards for accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work well with multiple business partners.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
