Assistant Manager - Finance Indirect Taxation
• You will be responsible for assisting in analyzing tax, business process, and IT system requirements with respect to GST along with Advisory, Drafting opinions and memorandums on indirect tax-related issues, Due Diligence Reviews, Litigation, GST Refund, Compliance and MIS Reporting
• Qualified CA / MBA in Finance
• 4-6 years of total experience, preferably in Power/ Transmission sector,
• Handling of Indirect Tax / GST compliances in Industry
• Hands on experience in SAP environment / GST implementation
1. Goods and Service Tax
• Assisting in analyzing tax, business process, and IT systems requirements with respect to GST.
• Preparation of updates on changes recommended in indirect tax matters by GST council / CBDT Press releases/Notification/Circulars, Advance Rulings
2. Advisory
• Drafting opinions and memorandums on indirect tax-related issues
• Review of business contracts to evaluate the completeness and find out areas of inefficiencies from a tax perspective
• Advising on classification, valuation, the applicability of taxes on transactions, and admissibility to tax benefits/exemptions
• Structuring of business transactions for optimizing tax
3. Due Diligence Reviews
• Undertaking comprehensive reviews of business operations to identify tax planning opportunities as well as compliance gaps
• Analysing and quantifying the tax exposure with respect to ongoing litigation Drafting Due Diligence study reports and clarifying the identified issues
4. Litigation and GST Refund
• Assistance in preparation and processing of GST refund applications
• Appearing before the relevant authorities with respect to assessment proceedings
• Ensuring timely submission of various notices, notices related to assessment and audit proceedings
5. Compliance and reporting
• Ensuring /Providing seamless Compliance in GST across entities
• Analysing the sales, purchase, and/or credit reports to identify the improvement areas
• Preparation of MIS reports for Senior Management
• Preparation of presentation for Senior Management
